Chapter Newsletter:

The NKBA continues to move the industry into the future and expand its reach by evolving with its members to provide new educational opportunities, as well as business, marketing and research tools.

From Bettyann Peck, Chapter President

As the 2007 President of our Chapter, I am excited and privileged to lead such a distinguished group of professionals, and look forward to the continued growth, training, and direction of our chapter over the coming year.

I would like to especially thank our immediate past President Marsha Fried, CKD, and all of the Executive Board members for setting such a high standard with their hard work and outstanding efforts at establishing our mission statement, and implementing the longrange planning to accomplish this.

Developing programs that include all aspects of our industry is no small task, and to do it on a monthly basis is even tougher. Through the hard work and perseverance of Bruno Pasqualucci, CKD, VP of Programs, and of the Programs Committee, we had a year full of enlightening, educational, and enjoyable meetings.

Our Chapter earned prominence nationwide for its “Habitat for Humanity” project by being awarded “Best Chapter Program” by The National Kitchen & Bath Association Board of Chapter Representatives in 2006. Under the leadership of Richard Marti, members worked diligently on the project, donating time, talent and materials, and pulling it all together.

The project was perfect and the result was even better – we helped contribute to a community within our region, enabled a family to have a home, and involved every segment of the kitchen and bath industry. I was proud to be part of it.

I know that all of you will be as encouraged as I am at the expansion of our local chapter website, www.snekitchenbath.org under the direction of the Technologies and Communication committee.

I am looking forward with great enthusiasm to a fun, industrious, and profitable year for all of our members.

Best Wishes,
Bettyann Peck
President
